Today, was Kierstin and Audrey's check-up appointments at their doctor's office. Kierstin was being seen for her 4 year check-up and Audrey was having her 6 month check-up. D.J. went with us and went to work after the appointment.
Kierstin weighed in at 34 pounds and is almost 40 inches tall; she is average for her weight and length. The doctor came in and asked her some questions; favorite food and drink, birthdate, phone number, and a few other questions and Kierstin did such a good job answering them. The doctor went over a few things that Kierstin should be doing at this age, which she excelled in all of the areas. The doctor was very pleased with her progress and she told us Kierstin didn't have to come back to the office for another check-up until she's 5 years old and that is when they will do her kindergarten shots and physical....and I about fell over...I am going to have a kindergartner next year....wow!
Audrey weighed in at almost 16 pounds and over 26 inches long; she is average for her weight and long for her age. The doctor went over Audrey's eating habits and what to do with the next stage as well as her development skills. The doctor was very pleased with her development and growth and she commented that Audrey would probably be smart just like her big sister! Audrey got four shots and an oral vaccine. She was such a trooper and only yelled for second, but as soon as I picked her up, she was all smiles.
After the appointment, we went to Walmart to get a couple things and then we came home and had lunch. The girls took naps and I did a few things around the house.
Tonight, my parents, CC, and Matt came over for dinner. I cooked crock-pot pot roast and all the fixins'. After dinner, D.J., my dad, and Matt did some things around the house. With my birthday money and gift certificates (plus some of our own money), we bought a ceiling fan for our bedroom and a glass storm door for the front door. So my dad hung the fan in our room and then him and boys put together the storm door only to find out it didn't fit because our builder didn't make the door frame the standard size. So my dad is going to try and fix the frame so that we don't have to order a custom door...we shall see! Kierstin, Audrey, Aunt CC, my mom, and I read books and played. Then the girls went to bed and the rest of us watched American Idol! Now it's time for bed!
