Saturday was Kierstin's bowling birthday party. She woke up very excited to see her family and friends and to go bowling. The party was great and everything went off without a hitch. The bowling alley did a great job at keeping everything organized and coordinated. The kids had so much fun bowling and they all did a great job. Some of the adult guys also bowled and they seemed to have a lot of fun too. Kierstin got so many nice presents and she was super excited about all of them. I got so many compliments on the party and we are so happy that everyone had a blast.
After the party, we went to my parents house and played Dominos with my parents, CC, Matt, and Grandma Mary while the girls took naps. It was fun!
Sunday morning, we went back to my parents house. D.J., Matt, and my dad worked on the Durango. We ordered new shocks and brakes for the truck and D.J. wanted to save some money and put them on himself. My dad had the majority of the tools, so that is why we did it over there. It took a few hours, but the guys got it done and they did a great job. Later this week, our new tires (they were ordered online as well to save some money) will be coming and D.J. is going to take them somewhere to be put on. D.J. saved us over $500 by ordering the shocks and tires online and by doing it himself, so we are very excited about that. While the boys were working on the truck, CC took Kierstin outside to play some and blow bubbles. My mom, CC, the girls, and I also played inside and my mom made a very yummy lunch for all of us.
After Kierstin's nap, D.J., the girls, and I left and went to D.J.'s Aunt Pat's house to see his Grandma and Aunt Viola. Tomorrow, is Aunt Viola's 100th birthday, so we went to see them and visit. Aunt Viola will be 100 years old and she wants to go to the casino and make some money. Aunt Viola and Grandma Beal (who is 92 years old) are so funny and they get around like people who are in their 60's...no walkers, wheelchairs, or assistance from anyone. We had a great visit with them and we hope that Aunt Viola has a very Happy 100th Birthday!
We have a busy week this week....tomorrow, Vicky is coming to paint a few rooms in our house (dining room, play room, MB bathroom), which will be taking about 3 days, so the girls and I are going to go to my parents house and hang out and we are going to run a couple errands.
We hope everyone had a great weekend!
