Wednesday was soccer day. Grandma Gayla and Aunt Shelley came to see Kierstin play soccer. Kierstin was so excited to see them at the game and she had a lot of fun playing soccer. After the game, the girls stayed with my parents and I came home to do homework. For dinner, everyone (me, D.J., the girls, my parents, CC, Matt) went to 54th for my birthday dinner (a day early) and then we came back to our house for dessert and American Idol.
Thursday morning, Vicky, a woman who is going to paint some rooms in our house, came by to talk about painting. After she left, the girls and I headed over to my parents house. My mom, Kierstin, CC, and I went shopping for the day. Audrey stayed home with my dad. We went to Old Navy, Target, and the mall and we had lunch at Olive Garden. We were shopping for some new clothes for Kierstin...she is growing so much and needed some new things. After a full day of shopping, the girls and I came home and waited for D.J. to get home from work. The girls got baths and then headed to bed. Then, I watched American Idol and did homework and D.J. watched TV.
Today, I have a doctor's appointment!
We hope everyone is having a good week!

Happy Birthday Gianna!
Today is Gianna's 5th Birthday!
Saturday night, Kierstin went to Gianna's birthday party at her house. We dropped Kierstin off and she had so much fun. There were 7 other girls there and Kierstin said that Aunt Tracie painted her finger nails and did her hair and put some pretty glitter in it. Then all the girls dressed up and put on a fashion show. Then GG opened her presents and they had cupcakes. Then all the girls settled down with some popcorn to watch a movie. D.J. picked Kierstin up and she said she had so much fun. Tracie said all the girls had a blast!
Happy Birthday, Gianna! We love you very much!

What's Been Going On?
Tuesday, the girls and I went to Walmart to pick up a birthday present for Gianna (our niece, the girls' cousin). Kierstin is going to her birthday party this weekend, so we needed to pick up a present for her. Then we came home, had lunch, and the girls took naps. After dinner, everyone played and then the girls went to bed.
Wednesday, the girls and I got ready and we went to Kierstin's soccer game. Usually my dad watches Audrey while my mom, CC, and I take Kierstin to the game, but this week, my dad wanted to go to the game too, so we all went to watch Kierstin. Audrey cheered from the stands and Kierstin did an awesome job. She is doing so well and really listens to directions. She has so much fun, so I signed her up for the next session which continues immediately after this session. After soccer, we went to my parents house and the girls stayed there so I could come home and work on some homework. I have a major project due on Monday, so my mom offered to watch the girls for the day while I worked on it. My parents brought the girls home at bedtime and after they were off to bed, I watched American Idol. My 3 favorite people made it through to the Top 12...Go Danny! Go Alexis! Go Michael!
Today, Kierstin finger painted all morning. She loves to paint, so I got out her finger painting stuff and she had a blast. She hates to have her hands dirty or anything on them that shouldn't be there (hmmmm, I wonder where she gets that from?), so after she would use her hands for one picture, she immediately wanted her hands wiped clean so she could do it again. After painting, we read all of her books while Audrey listened to us. Tonight, after the girls go to bed, it's the final episode of the Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice crossover!
I hope everyone is having a good week!

Weekend Report
Friday afternoon, my parents picked up the girls and I waited for D.J. to get home from work. After dinner, we went to Blockbuster to pick out some movies. We rented My Best Friends Girl, Saw 5, and Lakeview Terrace. We watched My Best Friends Girl which was okay with some funny parts, and Saw 5 which was not worth our time; we liked the other Saw movies, but this one was pretty bad. We haven't watched Lakeview Terrace yet, but we will one night this week.
Saturday morning, I went and did the Walmart and Schnucks trip. We needed everything, so it took me awhile. While I was shopping, D.J. decided to clean the house, isn't that nice of him? He did such a great job, but of course he jokes that "it's not Sarah clean," but it's clean! I appreciate his hard work! He helped me bring in all the groceries and after lunch, I did homework. Near dinner time, we decided to pick up some dinner at 54th and then we headed to my parents house. They were just getting home from dinner, so after we ate, we played with the girls and I helped my mom give Kierstin a bath. Grandma Mary was staying with them, so she played with Audrey. After the girls went to bed, D.J. and I stayed and played Dominos with my parents and Grandma. It was her birthday and she loves to play games. We stayed until about 10pm and then we came home and went to bed. Since D.J. and I are "Anti-Valentine's Day!," it was just another day for us. We don't believe there should be one day out of the year to express your love, so we do it 365 days a year...aaawww! D.J. did get me a big beautiful bouquet of flowers and he game them to me the day before V-Day!
Sunday morning, we got up and went to church. My parents, the girls, Grandma, CC, and Matt were there. After church, we went back to my parents house for lunch and we all celebrated Grandma's birthday. We played Dominos and Uno Spin all day long. For dinner we had Lee's Chicken and then we all hung out and chatted. It was a great day and we had a lot of fun playing games with everyone (even though there may have been some cheating going on....I will not mention any names!).
Today, the girls and I stayed home and we did laundry all day.
We hope everyone had a great weekend!

Weekly Details
After the girls took their naps on Tuesday, we went back outside. Kierstin rode her bike some more and then her and I played ball and wrote on the driveway with sidewalk chalk. We drew pictures of the house, sun, birds, and made a message to Daddy! The kids next door, Grace and Mason, came over to play in Kierstin's playhouse and they also drew on the driveway with chalk. After playtime, we came inside and got dinner on the table. All in all, we played outside for over 4 hours on Tuesday, it was so nice outside and we had to take advantage of the awesome weather.
Wednesday morning, D.J. and I got the girls ready and we went to my parents house. We dropped Audrey off so that my dad could watch her while Kierstin, D.J., my mom, CC, and I went to Kierstin's soccer game. D.J. went into work late so he could go to Kierstin's soccer game. She played so well and had a great time. After soccer, her coach let the kids play in the bounce house and Kierstin didn't want to leave. Then, D.J. headed to work, and Kierstin, my mom, and CC went back to my parents house. I went to Salon De' Christe for a facial. D.J. got me a gift certificate for Christmas and I used it to get an hour long facial at the salon...it was awesome! It was so relaxing and my skin is so smooth and soft. Thank you D.J. for my gift certificate, I loved it! After my facial, I headed to my parents house and everyone had lunch and while the girls took a nap, we watched American Idol from the night before. CC had to go to work and later that night, my mom made us dinner....BBQ pork steaks, yummy!! D.J. came over after work and we had dinner and watched last night's episode of American Idol...Top 36! Then we came home and we went to bed!
Today, the girls and I are going to stay home and hang out. This morning for breakfast, Audrey had her first fruit...bananas. Kierstin wanted to give her bananas and Audrey LOVED them, she ate them all and wanted more! We will give her bananas for a couple more days and then she will get applesauce. So far she has had rice cereal, peas, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, and bananas. She seems to like the orange veggies more than the green ones, but she will eat anything you give her. Tonight, after the girls go to bed, D.J. and I are going to watch the Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice crossover....I can't wait.

Hello!
I was feeling much better by Saturday, thank goodness. Luckily, the girls and D.J. have managed to stay cold-free (knock on wood!).
Saturday, D.J. grilled us some steaks for lunch and they were yummy. Then, we went to get our taxes done and we are getting a big return...YAY! When we were done with the taxes, we went and washed the Durango; it had some snow and salt on there that needed to come off. Then we came home and cleaned the inside of the Durango out, now it's all clean and shiny! Later, we got ready and picked our friends, Matt and Rebekah, up at their house and then we went to VooDoo for our birthdays. Rebekah's birthday is this weekend and mine is at the end of the month, but our favorite band, Plastic, was playing at VooDoo, so we had to go see them. CC and Matt came as well as a few other people. We had a blast and Rebekah and I were some dancin' fools! The girls spent the day with my parents and they went to see my Grandma Dolly and Aunt Linda. Kierstin got to play all day outside at Grandma Dolly's house and she had so much fun.
Sunday, we went to my parents house for lunch and then D.J. and I took Kierstin to her friend, Aiden's, birthday party. He had a bowling birthday party and she had so much fun. Kierstin got to bowl with all the kiddos and she can't wait for her bowling birthday party. Audrey stayed home with my parents. After the party, we stopped to pick up Audrey and then we came home for dinner. Here are some pictures from the birthday party:
Kierstin with her new baby friend, Kyle!
Monday, we stayed home and relaxed. Kierstin helped me do laundry and after dinner last night, I finished my homework and then after the girls went to bed, D.J. and I watched 24.
Today, the girls and I went to Walmart for a couple things. Then we came home and Kierstin and I had lunch outside. The weather is so beautiful outside (just a little windy!), so we took advantage of it. Audrey sat in her stroller and enjoyed the wind blowing in her face. Kierstin and I ate our lunch and then she rode her bike.

Thursday
I am feeling a little better today. I'm still congested and my head is pounding and I have been a little dizzy. But overall, I am feeling better today.
Today, the girls and I stayed home. Kierstin and I played a lot of games this morning. We played Leap Frog Bingo, Dora Memory, Trouble, and bowling. Audrey sat in her swing or bumbo seat and watched us. After lunch, we played Dora Memory again and then the girls took a nap.
Tonight, we are going to have dinner, play, and after the girls go to bed, D.J. and I will be watching Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice!
Happy Thursday!

What's Been Happening?
I've got a head cold, yuck! It started Saturday with a runny nose, but when I woke up on Sunday morning, I was completely congested. I took some medicine and we went to my parents house for lunch. Since I wasn't feeling horrible, for the Superbowl, D.J. and I went to a friends house with CC and Matt. It was fun and after the game, we came home and went to bed. The girls spent the night at my parents house.
Monday morning, I woke up feeling worse. It was all in my chest and I could barely breathe. My wonderful mom offered to keep the girls for the day so that I could take some more medicine and rest. I stayed in bed all day and tried to get better. Monday night, my mom said she was keeping the girls because she didn't want them to get sick. My mom is the best (and Dad too!). So I curled up on the couch, watched 24, and then went to bed.
Tuesday, I woke up feeling even worse. My head was completely clogged and I could not breathe whatsoever. I talked to my mom and she said she was not bringing the girls home because she didn't want them to get sick, so I spent another day in bed. She said I could get them on Wednesday after Kierstin's soccer game if I was feeling better.
Wednesday, I woke up feeling a little better. I could breathe again, but still had some pressure in my chest. I went to pick up Kierstin for her soccer game. She had so much fun and did fantastic. My mom and CC went with me and Audrey stayed with my dad. After the soccer game, we went back to my parents house for lunch and then the girls and I came home. I am still feeling a little under the weather, but hopefully I am back on the road to recovery.
Thanks to my mom and dad I was able to get plenty of rest and hopefully the girls (and D.J.) won't get this nasty cold. My parents are the best....thank you, I really appreciate all of your help. I know the girls had so much fun with you guys and Kierstin is already counting down the days till she gets to see you both again.
We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!

The Steelers Won!
YAY...the Steelers won! It was a great game and a complete nail biter. Although, we love Kurt Warner, it was great seeing a Steelers victory. Kurt is an amazing football player and a great guy who does terrific things. The Cardinals fought all the way to the end and there were some questionable calls, but the Steelers took it all the way. Go Steelers!
Go Steelers!
D.J. has been rooting for the Steelers from the beginning of the season (even in seasons past) because the Rams have not done so well. So when the Steelers made it to the playoffs and then to the superbowl, he was very excited. Almost everyone here in St. Louis is rooting for the Cardinals because of Kurt Warner. We love Kurt too and think he has done a terrific job, but we still want the Steelers to win! Either way, it is going to be a good game and a great team will win in the end!
