Busy Monday!
Today was a very busy day!
Our day started around 7am when Audrey woke up for the morning. I got her out of bed and got her changed and fed. Kierstin woke up around 8am and she came downstairs and played for a little bit and then wanted breakfast. D.J. got up shortly after and had to do some work online. I started some laundry and started cleaning out the junk drawer in the kitchen and then moved on to the laundry room. I put some things away that were in the laundry room and then put away the rest of our Christmas presents. After the laundry room, I cleaned out and organized the pantry, and now it looks great. After the pantry, I took some things down to the basement and did some more laundry. Kierstin helped me a lot while D.J. worked and took care of Audrey. Kierstin was such a big help; she helped put things away, she helped take things upstairs, and she was such a good girl.
I bought a wall cabinet for the half bath on the main floor a couple of months ago and D.J. put it together, but he never put it up because we were waiting to get the bathroom painted. D.J. decided he was ready to paint it today. So I went out and bought the paint and he painted the bathroom (he is finishing it up right now). My dad came over after work and helped paint the trim and corners. I picked out a darker red color, the hardest color to paint of course, so it required a primer and then two coats of red, but it looks awesome.
I also bought a table for the dining room. I took the money my parents and Grandma Mary gave us and bought a small round glass top table to put in the dining room, so that we can take out the foosball table. D.J. is going to put that together tomorrow.
So it has been a very busy Monday, but we got a lot accomplished.

Saturday
Saturday morning, Kierstin woke us up around 7:45am. We went downstairs and D.J. and Kierstin had breakfast together while I fed Audrey. After breakfast, D.J. and Kierstin watched Ratatouille and I did some things around the house. After lunch, D.J. brought up the Christmas boxes from the basement and we took down the Christmas tree and decorations. We also put away some of Kierstin's old toys in her playroom to make room for her new toys. After that, it was time for naps. D.J., Kierstin, and Audrey took a nap while I took a shower and finished putting some of our Christmas presents away. After nap time, D.J. and Kierstin played indoor soccer with her new net and soccer ball, she loves playing soccer. Then it was time for dinner. After dinner, D.J. gave the girls a bath while I cleaned the table from dinner. Then D.J. and Kierstin played more soccer and Kierstin played with her new baby doll set. After playing for a little bit, Kierstin was off to bed. Audrey laid on the couch for a little bit while D.J. and I watched Black Hawk Down (D.J.'s new Blu-ray movie...well he watched it while I did some things on the computer). Now the girls are sleeping and I am off to bed soon too. I think D.J. is going to finish watching his movie and then play Guitar Hero. We hope everyone had a good Saturday and stayed dry from the storms.

Christmas Details and Pictures!
Christmas Eve we went to my parents house for dinner and my Grandma Mary, CC, Matt, and D.J.'s parents came over. After dinner, Kierstin and my mom put on a show and they sang The 12 Days of Christmas and read The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bell. Kierstin did so well and was really cute. After the show, Kierstin fed the reindeer with the food she made for them and then she was off to bed. We played dominos with Grandma and waited for CC and Matt to come back from visiting his parents house. CC, Matt, D.J., and I slept on air mattresses in the living room (well some of us slept better than others). We woke up on Christmas morning and opened presents and had a yummy breakfast. Kierstin got a whole wagon full of presents and then some from Santa. After presents, we got ready and we went to visit my Grandma Dolly and Aunt Linda and Kierstin got to open more presents. Later, we went to D.J.'s parents house for dinner and more presents. Kierstin played with Gianna and the two of them got to open a ton of presents. Then we came home and conked out.

Merry Christmas Eve!
Good Morning, Everyone!
This morning, Audrey woke us up around 7:30am and Kierstin got up shortly after that. The girls and D.J. ate breakfast and then I started my cooking. I had to make potato casserole, deviled eggs (D.J. made these), and Hello Dollies to take to my parents house for dinner tonight and I also had to make broccoli rice casserole for D.J.'s parents house tomorrow night. After all the baking, Kierstin was ready to open her presents from us. We told her we were going to do Christmas today because we usually don't get home from running around everywhere on Christmas day until late. Last year, she was exhausted by the time we got home, so we let her open her presents this morning. She was so excited about all of her presents, especially her Leapster Video Game and indoor soccer ball and net. She played for a little bit and is now eating lunch. After her nap, we are going to get ready and go to my parents house for dinner. Then all of us are going to spend the night, along with CC and Matt, and Grandma Mary and then wake up tomorrow and open presents. Later in the day we will be going to my Grandma Dolly's house and then to D.J.'s parents house. Busy couple of days....
We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday! Merry Christmas Eve!

Shopping & Baking!
On Monday, Kierstin and I made chocolate chip muffins and chocolate chocolate chip muffins (for Daddy!). Kierstin also helped me wrap some small gifts and then we played with her babies, tag you're it, practiced counting to 130, and sang Christmas songs. We also made some reindeer food for her to feed Santa's reindeer on Christmas Eve night. She also helped me get dinner ready and after dinner I ran some errands while D.J. stayed home with the girls. The stores were packed and since Walmart was out of almost everything I needed to bake some things today, I also had to run to Schnucks, which wasn't bad at all.
Today, Kierstin and I are going to do some Christmas baking and listen to Christmas music. It's too cold to get the girls out today, so we are home bound!
Kierstin is getting really excited for Christmas. She keeps asking how many days are left and says she can't wait for Christmas Eve.
We hope everyone has a good day!

Christmas Is In The Air!
Thursday, I went to the hospital to see Baby Moe, Scott, and Libby. Moe is absolutely adorable and so incredibly precious. While I was there, he was eating and then he passed his hearing test....great job Moe! Libby was doing well and had the wonderful motherly glow. Her and Scott are going to be fabulous parents and I cannot wait to watch Moe grow over the years.
After the hospital, I went to my parents house and picked up Kierstin to take her to get her hair cut. Her bangs were getting really long and she needed some trimmed off the back. She did a wonderful job and she talked to everyone in the place and they all loved her. After the hair cut, we went back to my parents house and waited for D.J., Matt, and Cortney to get off work. Then we all piled in the van and went to eat at 54th Street here in Wentzville, it was yummy. After dinner, we went on our annual trip to look at Christmas lights. We went to a few houses that did their lights to the Christmas music playing on the radio, it was really neat. Kierstin loved it and she sang Christmas songs in the van to all of us.
Friday morning, I got the girls ready and I dropped Kierstin off at Grandma Judi's house. Grandma Judi was off work and she wanted to bake Christmas cookies with Kierstin and Gianna (our niece). Kierstin was looking forward to baking and playing with Gianna. However, Gianna couldn't come because she was sick, but Kierstin had a blast baking cookies with Grandma Judi. They made all kinds of cookies, including snickerdoodles, which are D.J.'s favorite. While Kierstin was at Grandma Judi's house, I had a doctor's appointment then my mom and I went to the mall and Target (Audrey stayed home with my dad). Then we went to pick up Kierstin and headed back to my parents house. Kierstin got to go to a party at church and Grandma Gayla and Grandma-ma Mary and Audrey stayed home with Grandpa David. Kierstin was looking forward to going to the party. D.J. and I had dinner with Cortney and Matt at Steak-n-shake and then we went back to their apartment to play Guitar Hero.
Tomorrow, D.J. and I are going to do some things around the house and I am going to wrap presents.
We hope that everyone is doing well.

Welcome Baby Moe! Goodbye Billy Goat!
Today, our good friends, Scott and Libby, had their baby boy, Moe. He was born at St. Lukes at 6:15pm tonight. He weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and is 20 inches long. I cannot wait to meet him tomorrow. Mom and baby are doing well. Congrats to Scott, Libby, and Moe!
Today, D.J. got to work from home and we were planning to go to The Billy Goat (D.J.'s sister, Shelley and her husband, Brian's bar/restaurant downtown) today for lunch. The restaurant is closing down next week, so we wanted to get down there one more time for some good food. Everything was yummy and we are going to miss going there. The girls went to my parents house so that we could go down there and have lunch together. After lunch, we went to pick up Audrey and Kierstin is spending the night at Grandma and Grandpa's house, she was really excited.
We hope everyone had a good day!

Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
Kierstin is loving the snow. When the snow gets a little deeper, I will take her outside so she can play in it. She woke up this morning, very excited about the snow, but said she didn't want to go out yet because there wasn't enough of it yet. We played inside today....we played hide in seek, tag you're it, and house, and we also colored, did tummy time with Audrey, and played with Aunt CC when she came over for a little bit.
D.J. has been working a lot. He is on a major project at work. He didn't get home last night until almost 9pm and he left this morning at 5am and he is still at work now. Thankfully, he is off of work for almost two weeks starting next week, although he will be on call.
Enjoy the snow/sleet/ice/rain, but be very careful and drive safely!

Weekend Details
Hello Everyone!
Friday, the girls and I went to pick up my mom to go shopping. Audrey stayed home with my dad since he was working from home and Kierstin went with my mom and I. We went down to Chesterfield Valley to do some more Christmas shopping. My mom needed to pick up some things, so we shopped and had some lunch. After we finished shopping, I dropped my mom and Kierstin off at my parents house and then I ran to the mall to pick up a pair of jeans. My jeans were not fitting anymore, they kept falling off, so I had to go buy another pair (one size down...I almost needed two sizes down). After the mall, I came home and waited for D.J. to get home from work. He had to work a little late and when he got home, we met Cortney and Matt for dinner and then we went to their house to play Wii and hang out.
Saturday morning, D.J. had to get up early and work from home. When I got up, I did some homework and made us some breakfast. Shortly after, my mom dropped off Kierstin and we went to Matt and Rebekah's house for Baby Aiden's 1st birthday party. Kierstin got to play with all the kiddos and we had a lot of fun. My mom came later to pick Kierstin up and D.J. and I stayed to help them clean up. We stayed and ordered pizza for dinner and then watched a movie...The Strangers, very weird, but scary and based on actual events. After that, we came home and I went to bed and D.J. played video games.
Sunday morning, I woke up and went grocery shopping. We didn't have too much and with the bad weather coming, I didn't want to get out tomorrow with the girls. When I got home, D.J. helped me put everything away and then we went to my parents house for lunch. After lunch, I did homework, the girls and D.J. napped. Cortney and Matt came over for a little bit, but Cortney had to go to work and Matt had a hockey game. I did homework and it was starting to be dinner time, so my mom and D.J. made dinner for everyone while I finished my homework. We all had dinner and then we came home and now the girls are in bed and I am updating the blog, returning emails, and doing more homework. D.J. is watching football.
We hope everyone had a good weekend!

Santa Claus came to Grandma & Grandpa's House
Last night, Santa Claus made a visit at my parents house to see the girls. A local realtor sent out flyers saying that Santa Claus would make a short visit by your house if you signed up in time. My mom signed up and he came to see Kierstin and Audrey. After Kierstin played shy-girl for a minute, she sat next to him and told him everything she wanted for Christmas.....a bike, a pink piggy, and Incredible Hulk boxing gloves (all things she has already gotten). She made him some cupcakes and pretty pictures. Here are some pictures....

Busy Weekend!
Friday night, Cortney and Matt came over for dinner and we played Guitar Hero. Kierstin played with Uncle Matt and Aunt CC and had a blast, as usual. Aunt CC took care of Audrey all night and didn't want to put her down. Some of our other friends, Heather and Scotty came over too and played Guitar Hero.
Saturday, Kierstin woke us up at 7:30am while Audrey slept until 8:30am. Kierstin had breakfast and then her and I went Christmas shopping. D.J. and Audrey stayed home and played. Kierstin and I went to pick up Cortney and then we went to Matt's work to have my wedding ring cleaned...now it's all shiney and sparkly. Then we went to Best Buy to get some Christmas gifts. Then it was off to the mall....they were packed. We had lunch and then did some shopping. Kierstin got to see Grandma Judi who came up to buy Kierstin and Audrey some clothes for Christmas. After we got done shopping, Kierstin got to play at the play area, which she always gets to do if she is a good girl and she is always a good girl! After the mall, we dropped Cortney off at home because she had to get ready for work and Kierstin and I went to Kohl's to get a few more gifts. Then we headed home. When we got home, D.J. and Audrey were playing.
A little while after Kierstin and I got home from shopping, D.J., the girls, and I got ready and we went to Red Robin for dinner. After Red Robin, we went to Rotery Park in Wentzville and drove through the park and looked at their Christmas Lights Display. It was pretty neat and Kierstin loved them and she "oohheedd and aahheed" over them. They also had a display with the 12 Days of Christmas, so we got to sing the song as well! When we got home, we watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, my favorite Christmas movie. It came on the other night and Kierstin has been wanting to watch it, so we watched it together. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original one), D.J.'s favorite Christmas movie, was also on the other night and we got to watch it and Kierstin has been watching it over and over...she loves it when the Grinch's heart gets bigger. After we watched Rudolph, the girls went to bed. Now, I am doing homework (well supposed to be doing homework) and D.J. is watching tv.
Busy weekend, as usual. How was everyone's weekend?

Decorating the Christmas Tree
Today, Kierstin and I decorated the Christmas Tree. We got a late start on it this year as we usually put up the tree before Thanksgiving, but we have been so busy, so we are just getting to it now. Kierstin helped my parents put up their tree over the weekend, so she was excited to help with our tree. It looks beautiful, but with the bigger house, we need a bigger tree...ha!ha!

She Did It!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY, Audrey rolled over from her belly to her back! I put her down on a blanket on the floor for her daily tummy time and she lifted herself up with her arms and over she went. Kierstin and I started clapping and saying "YAY, she did it!" I tried to get her to do it again, but she was done! Hopefully she will do it for D.J. tonight when he gets home. He was so excited to hear that she did it when we talked to him this afternoon!
Audrey's Accomplishment
I wanted to add that Audrey is almost rolling over. She rolled onto her side over weekend and again this morning. If she could just learn to move her arm a little bit, she would be able to roll all the way over! Way to go, Audrey!
Kierstin's New Favorite Toy!
Good Morning and Happy December!
Kierstin has decided that her new favorite toy is an empty paper towel roll. D.J. changed the paper towels the other night and gave her the empty roll and she has been playing with it ever since. She loves to play pirate and go around saying "Arrrrhhh Matey!" She is so cute! Below are some pictures of her with it.
Kierstin showing off her paper towel roll and her new tattoo!
Audrey sleeping in her swing while Kierstin and I play!
Oh, and Kierstin counted to 100 today (with just a little help), but she was so proud of herself and I was proud of her too. And she is getting better and better with her handwriting and writing her name!

Weekend Report
After shopping on Friday, D.J., the girls, and I got ready and went over to D.J.'s parents house and celebrated Thanksgiving with his family. We got to eat turkey and all the fixings again, yummy! Kierstin played with Gianna and they had a lot of fun.
Saturday, the girls went over to my parents house. Kierstin got to help put up their Christmas tree with Grandpa and had so much fun. She also got to play video games. D.J. and I stayed home most of the day. I worked on homework and D.J. played PS3 until our internet went out. After D.J. worked on it for awhile, he decided to call Centurytel and there was an outage in our area. They said it would several hours before it came back on. So finally, D.J. and I decided to go eat dinner and then we went to Target. We bought a few more gifts for Kierstin (even though she has been done for awhile now) and D.J. got Guitar Hero for the PS3. He has been playing Cortney and Matt's for the Wii and decided he wanted one for his PS3 and it was on sale, so we bought it. After Target, we came home and our internet was working so I did homework and D.J. played Guitar Hero.
Sunday, we got up and D.J. played more Guitar Hero and I worked on homework. Later on, we left for my parents house. When we got there, Kierstin was so excited about the snow. She went out on the deck and stuck her tongue out to catch snowflakes. We had lunch and then I worked on homework....can you tell I have a ton of homework this week? When Kierstin gets up from her nap, we will be heading home and I will be doing more homework...fun!
We hope that everyone had a fun weekend!

Happy Black Friday!
Yes, it's that time of year again....Black Friday!!!!!
As most of you know, my mom, sister, and I always brave Black Friday. It's been a tradition for many years and we absolutely love this day!
Our morning started around 2:30am. My mom picked me up and we headed to JCPenny's off Highway N and can you believe there was a line??? At JCPenny's??? They opened at 4am, so that was our first stop and then we headed over to pick up Cortney and we went to Walmart. They were supposed to open up at 5am, but we got there at 4:40am and they had already opened the doors. Apparently, there were over 500 people in line. Although, they opened the doors, the could not releasee any of the Doorbuster sales. I found what I was looking for and waited patiently around the turnstyle with about 50 other people for something there was only 20 of. When the time came, I bolted into the crowd and managed to get one...something for Kierstin, I can't wait to give it to her; although I did get knocked in the head by an elbow, but I think it was an accident, maybe! My mom got what she was looking for and we got lots of other things too. We then went to Target and got some great deals and then off to the mall. The mall wasn't too bad, but it was only about 7am. After the mall, we went to Toys R Us, where we learned there was a 2 hour wait to check out, so we looked through the store and decided we would head back there tomorrow for the same deals. After Toys R Us, it was time for breakfast and then we went to Kohl's and back to Walmart for something we forgot. I was home by noon! It was another great day and one we will not forget.
There wasn't a lot of drama this year either, which we thrive for, but, oh well!
Did anyone else brave the crowds???
P.S. Mom, next year, we are getting t-shirts made!!

Busy Monday
Good Afternoon!
Today, Kierstin got up and had breakfast and then played a little bit. A guy came over to look at our garage damage....our garage got damaged a few weeks ago when our neighbor's 2 year old son ran into it with his 4-wheeler, so we had to get an estimate on the damage so that their home owner's insurance could pay for it. After he left, Kierstin and I went shopping while D.J. stayed home with Audrey. Kierstin and I went to Target to look for some bows for Kierstin and Audrey for our Christmas pictures tomorrow, but we had no luck; luckily my mom found some at the mall. After Target, Kierstin and I went to Walmart for some things and then we went to Schnucks to go grocery shopping, they were packed for the holiday shoppers. Kierstin loves to ride in the buggy cart and get a pieces of cheese from the deli. She was such a good girl! After grocery shopping, we came home and D.J. unloaded all of the groceries and I put them away and then we all had lunch while Audrey slept. After we had lunch, Audrey woke up for her lunch and I fed her while D.J. and Kierstin played! Now, D.J., Kierstin, and Audrey are all napping while I am doing homework, returning emails, updating the blog, and doing laundry!
Hope everyone is having a good Monday!

BIG Weekend!
Hello!
Friday, Audrey turned 3 months old...time flies! Friday started off with Christmas shopping with the girls, my mom, and Cortney. We went to Target, Walmart, Sams, and had lunch at Red Robin. I had to buy a birthday present for Chase and Cortney had to buy a birthday present for a friend. We also did some Christmas shopping! Kierstin had a lot of fun looking at all of the toys and telling us what she wants for Christmas. Audrey slept through most of it. After the shopping, Cortney and I went to the hospital to see our friend, Shannon's, new baby boy...Welcome Kyle! Then I went home to meet D.J. and we went out to dinner with Cortney and Matt and some other friends.
Saturday...Happy Birthday Tracie (D.J.'s sister)!!! Saturday, D.J. worked a little bit and I did some homework and then we had to get ready for our day! We went by to pick up the girls at my parents house and then we went to Jump 4 Fun for Chase's 7th birthday...Happy Birthday Chase! Kierstin was the only girl there, but she had lots of fun going down the slides and jumping in the bounce houses. Audrey, of course, slept through most of it. After Chase's birthday party, we went to our friends, Scott and Libby's, house for our annual Jamesgiving dinner. Every year, Scott and Libby invite all of their friends and their families over for a thanksgiving dinner. Everything was soooo good! Kierstin had so much fun playing with all of the kids and we enjoyed hanging out with everyone. Thanks Scott and Libby for hosting the party!
Sunday, we went to my parents house for lunch. My mom cooked a ham (D.J.'s favorite, he LOVES this ham she makes and eats about 10 pounds of it at a time) and then we talked about Christmas and played Uno Blaster!
We hope everyone had a great weekend!

We hosted a play date on Friday for some of Kierstin's friends and everyone had a blast. All of the kids played so nicely together while the mommy's chatted and caught up on everything. The kids had lunch together and then played some more. Baby Aiden, Big Boy Aidan, Nathan, Grace, and Jake came over for the day and had so much fun. We can't wait to do it again.

Weekend Report
Kierstin and Audrey spent a long weekend with Grandma Gayla and Grandpa David and of course, had a blast. They went to Chesterfield mall and rode the carousel, shopped, and rode rides. They also played video games, colored, played toys, and watched movies.
I spent Friday morning going Christmas shopping and got a lot marked off my list. Walmart is already playing Christmas music, but then again, the radio stations are also playing it. Friday night, D.J. and I were invited over to Cortney and Matt's house for dinner and Matt cooked a yummy meal for us. We played Wii and watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall....very funny movie!
Saturday, D.J. and I got up and went to the movies and saw Role Models...hilarious and totally recommended. After that, we went to Best Buy to see Cortney and I got a new cell phone. My old cell phone was over 3 years old and dropping calls and since I was qualified for an upgrade, we got a great deal. Then we went to see Matt until Cortney got off work and when she got home, we all went to dinner and then came back and played more Wii.
Sunday, we went to my parents house for lunch, watched the Rams lose, and played Dominos.
D.J. is still recuperating from his cold, but is almost done with his antibiotics, so hopefully he will be fully better soon!
We hope everyone had a great weekend as well!

Halloween
Halloween started off with D.J. and I taking Kierstin to her Halloween party at school. She went to school in her costume dressed as an adorable witch. The kids had a parade where each class went to the other classes and trick-or-treated. The kids played games, decorated cookies, painted pumpkins, and had snacks. Kierstin had a blast.
After Kierstin's party, we came home and Kierstin went out with Grandma Gayla while D.J. and I stayed home with Audrey. Later on, we went to pick up Cortney and Grandma Mary. We went to Mom and Dad's house for dinner and a night of trick-or-treating. D.J., Cortney, Matt, and I took Kierstin trick-or-treating, but she had more fun handing out the candy.
We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
