Spring Break 2010

This past week, Kierstin was on Spring Break from school and we had quite a busy week. My Mom took the whole week off to spend with us, so Kierstin and Audrey spent almost every night at my parents house. Thanks Mom for wanting to take your vacation days with us, we had so much fun!

Last Sunday night, D.J., my Mom, Kierstin, and I went to Matt's hockey game and Kierstin got to play with her friend Jillian. Matt's team lost, but we still had fun watching the game!

Monday, my Mom and the girls came to pick me up and we went to Walmart, had lunch at Steak-n-shake, and went to the mall to get my Dad's birthday present. We shopped and the girls played on the playground at the mall. Monday night, D.J. and I had dinner out and then we came home and watched 24. It was so quiet not having the girls at home on a week night, very weird!

Tuesday, I went to pick up my Mom and the girls and then we went to get my Grandma and we went to the park. It was a beautiful day outside and my Mom packed us a very yummy picnic lunch. The girls played on the playground and I went down all the slides with them. After playing for a long time, we went to Steak-n-shake (again) for dessert. Then we dropped Grandma off at home and headed back to my parents house. Once again the girls spent the night and I came home and waited for D.J. to get home from work. We had dinner and watched The Blind Side. Again it was so quiet and weird not to have the girls at home during the week.

Wednesday, I picked up my Mom and the girls and then we picked up Cortney and went to Target and Schnucks. Cortney needed some groceries and other things and wanted Mom and I to show her how to use coupons and get the best deal. After shopping, the girls napped and I ran a few errands. Then the guys met us for dinner at Chili's for my Dad's birthday (Happy Birthday!). Then we headed back to my parents house for cake and ice cream and American Idol!

Thursday, I picked the girls up in the afternoon from my parents house and dropped Kierstin off at Cortney's house....Audrey and I came home. Kierstin spent the whole afternoon with Aunt CC; they played Wii, games, read books, and had lots of fun. I picked Kierstin up after dinner and then we came home!

Friday, my Mom came to pick us up and we went to Chesterfield Mall to see the Easter Bunny! The girls sat with the Easter Bunny and then we shopped and played some more and had lunch. After the mall, we came back home and my Mom took the girls home with her for the weekend.

Saturday, D.J. BBQ'd and we had some friends over along with CC, Matt, my parents, and the girls. Dinner was yummy and then we had smores and all the kids (and adults on the street) came over and made smores with us. It was a great night!

It was a very busy week, but very fun! Thanks again Mom for taking the whole week off just to spend with us....the girls and I had a blast and I know they loved spending every night with you and Dad! It's great knowing that you want to spend your whole vacation with us and spend every moment with the girls. Love you lots!

Kierstin's Bday - The Arch

On Kierstin's actual birthday, we decided to do something that she has been wanting to do for awhile...go to the Arch. Kierstin sees the Arch on the news all the time and has been wanting to go up in it, so we went. We had breakfast at McDonald's and then we headed down to the Arch (thanks for the ideas, Mom!). We walked around the museum and then headed up to the top of the Arch. Kierstin loved it and cannot wait to go back. Here are some pictures:
