Campout

Kierstin has been asking to have a campout for a long time now, so Saturday night, we decided to have one. D.J. BBQ'd a yummy dinner and Cortney and Matt came over. We had BBQ'd pork steaks for dinner and then we roasted smores. We were going to set the tent up outside for them to sleep in, but it was supposed to rain all night (and it did), so D.J. and Matt built a fort in the playroom and D.J. and Kierstin camped out on the air mattress under the fort and spent the night. Kierstin was so excited and they had a blast. Here are some pictures:

Apple Pickin'

Saturday, we went apple pickin' with some friends to Eckert's and we had a blast. Besides apple picking, there were rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a lot of other activities. Here are some pictures:

Kierstin's First Day of Preschool!

Today, was Kierstin's first day and preschool and she had a lot of fun and was such a big girl. Audrey and I dropped her off this morning and she said her good-byes and took her seat. I waited outside the classroom to make sure she was alright and she was. When I picked her up, she was excited to see Audrey and I, but told me she couldn't wait to go back. She told me all about her day and everything she did. She practiced her letters, sang songs, played outside, read books, talked about God, made new friends, and colored. She also got to be the "leader" of the classroom today and got to lead the class wherever they went (outside, restrooms, church, etc). She was so excited to be the leader, especially on the first day of school. Tonight at bed, she asked if she could go to school tomorrow, but I told her that she has to wait till Thursday because she doesn't go on Wednesdays.

Thank you Mom, Dad, Grandma, Cortney, and Matt for coming over for dinner and to hear how Kierstin's first day of school went today. She loved telling all of you about her special day!
